What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Leaving comments on the blog
When you leave comments on our website we collect your name, email, website (optional), and also your IP address and browser information. This data is processed by us on WordPress (website provider) in order to display authentic comments on our blog, and help spam detection.
Contact forms and emails
When you contact us using one of our contact forms, we collect your name, email and query. This data is processed by us on WordPress (website provider) and on Outlook (email provider), in order to answer your query.
Placing an order
When you place an order, with or without creating an account, on Camimade, we collect your name, email address, phone number, billing address and shipping address. Your payment card details are collected by Paypal on their own secure page and we do not store them. This information allows us to process your order, ship it out to you, facilitate refunds or exchanges and get in touch with you should there be any problems. This data is processed by us using WooCommerce (e-commerce platform) and PayPal (online payment gateway).
Signing up to our newsletter
When you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your name and email address. This data is processed by us on Mailchimp (marketing automation platform) in order to send you news and offers.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos from Youtube). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
How long we retain your data
We are required under UK law to keep your basic personal data (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of 6 years after which time it will be destroyed.
The personal data we use for marketing purposes will be kept with us until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information.
Sharing your information
Some of your personal data is shared with third-party providers, as we cannot operate our services without them:
- Companies and platforms that help us process your orders, such as WooCommerce, Paypal, or Royal Mail.
- Companies that work with us to operate and host our website, such as WordPress and OVH.

- We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms and conditions to companies which deal with law enforcement and tackling fraud.

If you are registered to our newsletter and no longer wish to receive it, you can unsubscribe at any time via email at email@example.com or by clicking on the unsubscribe button at the bottom of our newsletter emails.
If at any point you wish to know which personal data we hold and we are processing about you, or if you do not wish for us to process it anymore or if you believe your personal data is incorrect or obsolete you can request to see the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us, and/or have it corrected or deleted by us by contacting us at firstname.lastname@example.org. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
